In the early years of the 21st century when the concept of "online games" was still quite unfamiliar in Vietnam, names like Age of Empires (colloquially called "Đế chế"), StarCraft, or Warcraft became an indispensable "spiritual food" for many "hardcore" gamers and were also associated with many people's childhoods. Among those typical names, there was also one game that single-handedly defined a new game genre by blending fiery action elements into tense street motorcycle races—that was Road Rash. Although popular enough that almost every home PC had the title on its hard drive, Road Rash began to fade into oblivion when the 7th generation of consoles started to boom, and EA Games no longer had any "attachment" to the Road Rash brand. In 2012, independent game studio Dark Seas Interactive announced an action racing game mixed with role-playing elements called Road Redemption, and the game was considered the "spiritual successor to Road Rash." And perhaps, there is nothing that can describe the joy of gamers who once "ate and slept" with Road Rash, as they once again had the chance to show off their "slick driving skills" in Road Redemption. In Road Redemption, players take on the role of a gang leader, participating in races and taking down racers from other gangs. However, don't hastily assume the race will be "easy to win," as "cold-blooded" police officers are always ready to "ram first, ask questions later" with boldness comparable to the "speed freaks." With the spirit that "in a race, there is always blood spilled," surely no one wants to hit the highway without a weapon by their side. Road Redemption possesses a fairly diverse arsenal, ranging from quite ordinary "items" like baseball bats and machetes, to "oversized toys" with extreme reach like battle axes. Firearms are also present in Road Redemption, and a well-aimed shot from a double-barrel shotgun while "flying" will bring an indescribably "satisfying" feeling! Moreover, when you don't have a weapon in hand, don't forget that a "god-tier" kick can completely send an opponent "flying" off the track, into a ravine, or crashing straight into oncoming traffic.
